Although born and raised in New Orleans, I have lived all over the US and have extensive experience photographing a wide range of work. I was a contract photographer for National Geographic and a staff photographer for NASA, and have been running my own photography business concurrently for the better part of a decade, photographing a significant amount of weddings throughout my entire career.
The diversity of my experiences and influences across so many genres has allowed me to produce beautiful images in a variety of environments and subjects— especially weddings. Working in challenging situations has allowed me to be effective in high-pressure situations and highly adaptable. There are many times in a wedding where not everything goes to plan, and I am the calm and collected person who will figure out a way to ease your mind— even if you’re panicking!
My adaptiveness is also suited to the individual nature of weddings. Some people want a major emphasis on candids, others want more posing and formal photos. I excel at both. Even for couples who feel awkward posing, I’m there not just to position you for the best image— I’ll also tell you to just take the moment to talk to each other and be intimate. I love the effect that can have on the final photo.
If you’re curious about my personality, I like to think I am the best of both worlds; someone who can be very focused and driven to get that great shot, and also a laid back and fun person to spend your day and to fit in well with the bridal party and family.
